One global database with real-time immutable data, keeping track of who owns what — operated under full SFC supervision.
Private markets have run for decades on systems that were never built to talk to each other. Each firm keeps its own books. Each transaction requires reconciliation between counterparties. Each transfer takes days, sometimes weeks, to clear.
EVIDENT operates on a single shared ledger: a standardised, global database, updated in real time and immutable once written, that every participant reads directly. Everyone sees the same data at the same moment. That shared, verifiable record is what makes blockchain a new system of record, and reconciliation between firms largely disappears.
Every position, transfer, and transaction is recorded on the same shared ledger. No reconciliation between firms, and no version of the truth that depends on whose books you happen to be reading.
Clearing and settlement happen in real time, replacing the multi-day settlement cycle. When a trade is matched, ownership and capital move together in true delivery versus payment (DVP), within a regulated environment.
Every entry is permanent and independently verifiable, yet each participant's positions stay private. The full history of any holding is reconstructible at any time, exactly what regulators, auditors, and counterparties need.
Because positions are tracked with real-time precision, portfolios can be rebalanced continuously — adjusted as conditions change, rather than waiting for a counterparty. Capital can move toward new opportunities the moment they appear.
This is what makes private positions liquid → Secondary Market
The technology we use is the same general family of distributed ledger technology that underlies cryptocurrencies and other digital assets. The instruments we record on it are something else entirely.
Every security on EVIDENT is a traditional private market security: equity interests, debt instruments, or fund interests in private equity, infrastructure, credit, or specialty assets. Each is structured and audited for legal enforceability: the modern equivalent of conventional securities, recorded on a verifiable digital ledger. Same legal status. Same regulatory framework. Same investor protections. What is new is only the ledger they are recorded on: the system of record itself.
We hold an SFC Type 1 licence and operate under Hong Kong securities law. Recording these securities on a digital ledger is an infrastructure choice; their legal nature is unchanged.
EVIDENT has long worked on both sides of this: tokenising existing assets, and building natively digital securities from the ground up. In every case we deal in securities, and record them on the blockchain as the system of record.
EVIDENT's records run on Ethereum as the underlying layer via the Polygon network, using audited smart contracts built to the ERC-3643 standard.
Standardised, real-time, immutable data is the precondition for the rest of our infrastructure. AI agents operate at the scale and speed we deploy them because they read from a single coherent source of truth.
Without the data layer, the intelligence layer cannot exist at institutional scale. The two are designed to work together.
